Stationery Matters Autumn/Winter Issue Out Now

Bursting with industry news and views, retailer perspectives and in-depth articles, make sure you check it out now.

In addition to printed copies starting to hit the desks of all major and independent stationery buyers, distributors and suppliers from today, you can also read the full issue online now.

We start off with six pages packed of industry news, from our event round-up to celebrations for retailers, including 35 years for Roundabout Stationery and a community award for Sherwood Stationers for the third year running. Don’t miss our story on the cover star: Dolce & Gabbana x Stabilo or our back-to-school report either.

No sooner does back-to-school finish, and it is straight into Christmas. The Festive Forecast picks the brains of seven retailers on what the final quarter of 2024 hold for them. Spoiler alert; this will include Legami erasable pens.

Speaking of Legami, this is a craze which shows no signs of slowing down. The latest limited edition, the Halloween Boo Crew, has sold out in many stores, with customers eagerly awaiting the Christmas limited edition. The erasable pens are really popular with young people; in fact, stationery in general is having a surge in popularity with Gen Z, and we’ve got an in-depth look into this demographic and its fascination with stationery.

But it’s not just stationery that is booming, the market for arts and crafts products is also growing. We speak to several players in this sector including Daler-Rowney, Craft Buddy, Akademi Çocuk and Jakar International to find out more.

Elsewhere in this issue, you can read more about the European Deforestation Regulation (EUDR), which was due to come into force for larger companies at the end of this year, but is likely to be delayed by 12 months. It’s an important piece of regulation that will touch nearly every business that supplies paper products to EU markets.

We’ve also been lucky to speak to Wendy Vickery, marketing manager of Pentel UK about all the exciting developments going on at Pentel at the moment and we shine a light on several businesses flying the flag for British-made products.
