Stationery Awards expands

Stationery Show London’s prestigious Stationery Awards will, for the first time, be a standalone event, featuring new Retailer categories and a ‘Stationery Designer of the Year’ award alongside its existing categories.

 

For the new Retailer categories, both specialist retailers and those who sell stationery as part of their offer are invited to enter for the five awards, designed to recognise and benchmark good practice and innovation in the retail sector.

 

“Now is the time to reward your team, claim your prize and get noticed!”, said Hazel Fieldwick, event manager of Stationery Show London.

 

The five new retailer categories are:

  • Best Customer Experience Initiative
  • Best POS/Merchandised Display of Stationery
  • New Store of the Year
  • Best Specialist Stationery Retailer
  • Best Non-Specialist Retailer

All entries should relate to the past year of trading, from January 2018 to January 2019. The online entry form should be completed by 15 February at www.stationeryawards.co.uk .

 

Retailers can enter themselves or be nominated by agents, account managers or suppliers and can enter as many categories as they wish.

 

Hazel adds: “The entry forms are very straightforward and we encourage everyone to upload photos and POS images etc to support their entries.

 

“So, dig out those photos you took of things that worked well in your stationery department, window or shop last year and over Christmas, and get your entry forms done!”

 

The Stationery Awards are also introducing a new ‘Stationery Designer of the Year’ category, sponsored by UK manufacturer GO Stationery.

 

Entrants into this category will be competing to work with the experienced production and sales team at GO Stationery to see their ideas taken into production and sold out to retailers throughout the UK. Entries for this category need to be submitted by 28 February at www.stationeryawards.co.uk.

 

In another break from tradition, the Stationery Awards are now open to ALL stationery suppliers, not just those exhibiting at Stationery Show London, as was previously the case. The closing date for entries from suppliers is 29 March.

 

Relevant industry judges will announce the finalists of each category ahead of the show. The winners will then be revealed at an Awards Ceremony which will, for the first time, be a standalone event at a location near the Business Design Centre after the first day of Stationery Show London, 30 April, 2019.
