Not content with running the Spotlight Stationery subscription box and online shop Stationery & Art, Mary and Rob Wright have launched their third stationery brand, Spotlight Seasons.
Spotlight Seasons is a quarterly collection of beautiful stationery products. Like their subscription box, the contents of the new box will be a surprise to recipients, but unlike Spotlight Stationery, it’s not a subscription service. Consumers will purchase boxes one collection at a time. The debut box will be the Autumn Collection.
Spotlight Seasons boxes won’t be themed or restricted to certain brands, colours or country of manufacture. The box will be bigger than the subscription service box to allow for a greater range of product sizes and weights. Mary Wright told Stationery Matters they will choose a mixture of UK and international brands, with smaller, artisan producers.
Mary said: “When we visit trade shows, stationery shops and suppliers we see lots of fabulous stationery products which we’d love to include in our subscription boxes, but are unable to because of the size, weight and cost constraints we have to work within. So when one of our subscribers asked if we’d ever considered producing a second, special stationery subscription box, perhaps on a quarterly basis, it got us thinking; could this be an opportunity to use those very products?
“Two very non-commital, what-do-you-think-of-this-idea social media posts later, we were very pleasantly surprised by the level of positive interest. Several months, lists of lists and lots of number crunching later, Spotlight Seasons is the result.”
Mary continued: “We want to offer true stationery aficionados something really special. The stationery in the photo is a fair indicator of the quality and quantity that customers can expect, but it’s definitely not what’s going in the Autumn collection!”
Spotlight Seasons will be shipped internationally as well as within the UK.
