Rebecca Saunders, a retail analyst who has worked for brands including John Lewis, Tiffany and notonthehighstreet, is launching a new retail concept that aims to introduce small, up-and-coming brands to consumers.
Saunders is looking for stationery brands with a wellbeing or sustainability slant for the first Seekology store, which will open in SW London in October 2019 alongside a transactional website.
Saunders brings to the venture a desire to make retail easy, flexible and cost-effective for brands. She commented: “We are passionate about the high street: we love independent stores and will be creating a beautiful shop where customers can come and learn about exciting emerging brands that they have never seen before.”
Seekology is searching for retail partners with products that can help people with their wellbeing, for example goal setting, mindfulness, products for new mothers, or notebooks and journals which help with exercise planning. Saunders told Stationery Matters: “I’m also particularly interested in products made from innovative and sustainable materials.”
