Indie stationer Papersmiths has opened a concession in Wolf & Badger’s flagship at Coal Drops Yard.
Papersmiths’ new ‘store within a store’ is the company’s first concession and their fifth store to date. This new collaboration with concept store Wolf & Badger, which opened in Coal Drops Yard, Kings Cross on Friday 26 October, marks their third London store after two successful openings in Shoreditch and Chelsea.
Kyle Clarke, co-founder of Papersmiths, said: “We’re incredibly excited to be collaborating with Wolf & Badger on their amazing new concept store.
“We’re also thrilled to be opening up in what’s set to become London’s new design mecca and we’re particularly looking forward to creating close relationships with the creatives in Central Saint Martins, Google geniuses and Facebook fanatics. ”
The store caters to these stationery-geek, design-loving creatives with its kaleidoscopic stationery displays featuring iconic Vitsoe shelving and an upstairs print section covering books and magazines in graphic design, interior design, fashion, food and drink, philosophy, psychology and business.
Henry Graham, creative director and co-founder of Wolf & Badger, said: “Great stores are about more than just shopping and we’ve always wanted to create a space like this to present a dynamic and differentiated experience to our customers.
“With the Coal Drops Yard launch, we are curating a destination where art, culture, gastronomy and events can all come together under one roof to complement our signature selection of ethical, unique and unusual products.”
Papersmiths is known for its innovative take on stationery retail, and due to its meticulous merchandising and contemporary aesthetic, has attracted attention from the likes of Wallpaper*, We Heart and The Evening Standard.
