National Stationery Week’s #shopstationery campaign supported by industry

Last month National Stationery Week, Stationery Matters and London Stationery Show ran a campaign encouraging consumers to support the high street and independent retailers, as non-essential retail reopened in England.

Stationery and gift retailers were forced to close their doors as the third national lockdown came into place at the start of the year. The aim of the #shopstationery campaign was to support bricks and mortar stores as they reopened their doors and get consumers into shops. Shoppers took pictures of themselves inside or outside their local stationery store, using the hashtag #shopstationery and tagging National Stationery Week.

The prize, £1,500 worth of stationery products, was kindly donated by AT Cross, Artgecko Sketchbooks, Coffee Notes, Collins Debden, edding, Envelopes Ltd, ExaClair, Frisk, GO Stationery, Hahnemühle, Jakar, Kartos, London Block by Block, Nuco, Pentel, Port West Stationers, Premier Stationery, Royal Talens, Silvine, Snopake, STABILO, Staedtler, Stone Marketing, Think Trigg, Valentina T, VENT for Change and Willow & Weeds.

The lucky winner was Vicky Hawkins from London. Vicky is a regular customer at independent office supplies and artists materials store, Newmans Stationery in Bethnal Green, London. Vicky was delighted with her prize and told us “It has been wonderful to receive such packages, I was just looking at my haul. I am feeling inspired by the beautiful notebooks, coloured pens and pencils”.
