Manuscript Pen Company is celebrating another addition to its expanding portfolio by acquiring exclusive UK distribution rights for Yookers.
Hong Kong brand Yookers, which started as a Kickstarter campaign with nearly 600 backers, launched the world’s first refillable felt-tip pen, which works with any standard-sized ink cartridge.
Since its formation in 2018, the stationery designers at Yookers have expanded their innovative collection of products including the ‘Yooth’ range and a selection of stylish accessories.
Following the success of the new brand in Asian and European markets, Manuscript plans to help expand Yookers’ burgeoning network into the UK.
Charlie Stockbridge, managing director at Manuscript, said: “We’re expanding our network as a brand exponentially and we’re reaching more people through the medium of stationery.
“Ultimately, our aim is to offer retailers a comprehensive array of products whilst expanding our brand family with companies that share our ethos.
“In my eyes, Yookers is the perfect addition. Combining innovation, forward-thinking design with a user-friendly product, we can’t wait to begin work to expand its visibility in the UK.”
Fiona Cheng, based in Yookers’ head office in Hong Kong, said: “Over the last few years, we’ve honed our product range and increased our visibility as a viable option for retailers.
“In the UK, we’ve got an opportunity for growth and, with Manuscript at our side, we’ve got the perfect opportunity to do just that.”
The deal completes a year in which Manuscript purchased Lime and partnered with Chameleon Art Products.
