Craft Business has announced the launch of their first ever virtual trade event, Craft Business Live! The online trade fair will go live from 11-15 January 2021 via the Craft Business website.

The event will provide a valuable platform for businesses who are unable to showcase their products at the Q1 trade shows that are no longer going ahead due to the pandemic.

Craft Business Live! will be simple to navigate and feature a show map that retailers can use to quickly find exhibitors, who will have virtual stands where they can promote products, catalogues, videos and more. Tailored to suit the individual brand, visitors will be able to use these pages to familiarise themselves with some of the industry’s biggest wholesalers.

Stands will be split into category specific sectors including papercraft, art and mixed media and knitting and crochet, so wholesalers can be sure that all enquiries will be relevant to their business. Virtual stands will feature product videos, offers, contact details and more.

There will also be an interactive live chat function so that retailers can connect with representatives from their favourite brands quickly and easily - great for networking, discussing business plans for the year ahead and enquiring about exciting new product releases.

“The show is the perfect solution for brands who were planning to visit the biggest trade shows in Europe and beyond, but are no longer able to due to the pandemic” says Emily Peagram, Craft Business Editor. “The event will provide wholesalers with an online platform to shout about new product releases, collaborations and ambitions for 2021, just as they would be able to do at a physical event.”

The event features a Content Hub boasting a wealth of useful business resources designed to support all retailers, no matter how much industry experience they possess. With informative videos, free downloadable content and helpful blog posts will be something to suit everyone.

An exciting line-up of speakers includes:

  • Sara Davies MBE (CEO of Crafter’s Companion)
  • Becks Beere (founder of Avec UK)
  • Tony Sheridan (founder of Makes Superstore)
  • David Jinks (head of consumer research at ParcelHero)
  • Claire Gelder (CEO of The Wool Couture Company)
  • Suzie Duncan (craft demonstrator and designer)
  • Camilla Westergaard (content editor for Folksy)
  • Dannielle Haig (business psychologist)
  • Frankie Dowling (head of compliance at Amaiz)

"This in an exiciting new show for the industry. Retailers will be able to view the hottest product releases or take advantage of our wide range of online resources, designed to support businesses throughout the New Year and into 2021" says Emily.
