This week Collins Debden launched their Stay Write At Home campaign, encouraging us to stay in our houses during the current pandemic and use the time we have to start writing!

With widespread lockdowns and new work-from-home arrangements, some might find difficulty adjusting to new schedules and routines. But we have more time to talk with friends and loved ones, binge watch TV shows, read books, try different forms of exercise. And we can also write!

“Pouring your anxieties and sorrows, your fears and worries, and your joys and amusements onto a blank page can be immensely therapeutic,” says Collins’ Marketing Manager Richard Sloan. “The blank page in your journal can be a non-judgmental friend, a confidante, a buddy, a casual acquaintance or brutally honest critique…it can be anything you want it to be.”

To encourage us to stay write at home, Collins have put together a handy collection of essential stationery products for those of us who are working from home, or home schooling our kids. They are also posting a series of articles to help our mental health through mindful journaling in this difficult period.

Collins claim that sensory-based Mindful Journaling sessions that include visualisation exercises are a great way to take you away from all the noise, quieten your inner critique and unlock your latent creativity.

In addition, Collins have offered to donate £1 from every sale of their Edge Rainbow notebook to NHS charities, as a thank you for all of our healthcare workers’ heroic efforts.
