A story on the Modern Distribution Management site has revealed that the UK is Amazon’s next market for its Business Prime service, which it launched last year in the US, Germany and Japan.
The new service provides additional benefits for businesses of all sizes and aims to make business purchases easier and more convenient.
The news comes ahead of its consumer shopping event, Prime Day (for the first time covering two days, 15 & 16 July.) Amazon has said new Business Prime members in the UK will benefit from a variety of special deals on Prime Day.
The service starts from £80 plus VAT per year and covers up to three users. Compare this with the cost of Amazon Prime for a single consumer: £79.
Amazon Business Prime includes the service’s free one-day delivery option, with no minimum order.
The Plans include Basic (up to 3 users), Small (up to 10 users), Medium (up to 100 users), and Unlimited (unlimited users).
The Small plan and above offers Amazon Spend Visibility, which allows the user to analyse spending patterns to help inform budgeting and buying decisions. Its Amazon Guided Buying service allows the user to create policy rules that guide employees to approved products and help avoid procurement violations.
Dave Brittain, head of Amazon Business UK said in a statement: “Business Prime enables customers to get the most out of the great selection, pricing and purchasing experience on Amazon Business.
We continue to listen to feedback from our business customers and are excited to introduce these new benefits, which take the most business-relevant parts of Prime membership and add additional features to make life easier for organisations of all shapes and sizes.
Our goal is to help businesses drive even more transparency into their procurement process, while ultimately lowering their total cost of purchasing.”
