Patrika (पत्रिका in Hindi), literally translates to ‘journal’ in English, which is the brands hero category. Its journals, notebooks, planners and other stationery and gifting items are an elegant blend of modern aesthetics with traditional Indian elements.

Mansha Kaur Anand, founder and creative director says: “We draw inspiration from India’s rich architecture, diverse flora, and indigenous fauna, seamlessly integrating these with contemporary design principles to create beautiful, unique and luxurious stationery products. Everything we do, from our designs and content to our collections, is thoughtfully crafted and carefully considered. At the heart of Patrika is the commitment to leading a mindful life, intricately woven with reflection and an appreciation for nature and natural beauty.”

Patrika recently launched its Wildscape Revival Series, a collection that raises awareness about endangered animals and birds within India. A percentage of the net sales from this collection is donated to Wildlife SOS Anti-Poaching Project.

For most of the products, the inspiration comes from Mansha’s personal travels, predominantly on safaris across India but also on trips to Rajasthan. The diverse landscapes of each region provide a constant source of inspiration. “Early in the design process, we also consider unusual colour combinations and contrasts. This then leads to identifying the key flora, fauna, and architectural features that will prominently feature in that edit or series, along with the colour story,” says Mansha.

The brand has had considerable success in its home market of India, featuring in Vogue India, shortly after its launch in 2020 and more recently at the Jaipur Literature Festival, one of the largest and most prominent literature festivals globally.

The London Stationery Show will be Patrika’s first foray into the international market, and Mansha is excited to be showcasing a series of new products, including a collection of wellness workbooks. “We have always created products with a global audience and appeal in mind, so we are eager to see how individuals and businesses attending the show receive our products and brand story. Additionally, we look forward to meeting some of our dream stockists, with whom we’ve aspired to collaborate, perhaps even before our official brand launch.”

Patrika Lifestyle is exhibiting on stand G112 at the London Stationery Show, 14 – 15 May at the Business Design Centre. Visitor registration is now open and is free for retailers, buyers, dealers and other resellers of stationery. It is not open to the general public.
